The first round of chemo started on April 11, 2016. Each round lasts for 21 days. Of those 21 days Judd receives actual chemo treatment on days 1-5, 9, and 16 then starts back up again on what would be day 22.
We were kind of nervous because we didn't know what to expect from the actual treatment or how sick he would be. Judd was really dreading vomiting, but the nurses said that he'd be on so many anti-nausea medications that he shouldn't even vomit. He was super relieved about that as was I.

Even though we were both nervous that morning I was excited and happy. I was excited that the time had finally come that we could start fighting Judd's cancer again. I was excited that even though Judd would not feel well, we were on the path to healing and each day that passed meant one day closer to healthy.
Days 1-5 of each cycle are about 7 hour appointment days. It took me the entire day to color this picture. We filled a backpack full with different activities, electronics, and chargers to keep us busy.
Once Judd is all hooked up he can get up and walk around with his IV pole. He can't go on carpeted area with the medicine so we make laps around the big infusion room. Judd has a new funny comment for the nurses each time we pass them.
The nurses and doctors encouraged Judd to drink lots of water and to go on walks to stay active. They said staying active will help with the fatigue and feeling sick overall. Here is Judd perfectly minding doctor's orders -- mask on, walking around, and drinking water.
